SakeSpirit ("we", "our", "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.

Data We Collect

• •Account information: Email address when you sign up (via Supabase Auth).
• •Sake scans: Photos you take are sent to xAI for label analysis (and character generation) and then discarded — we do not store your original photos on our servers.
• •Spirit collection: Sake details, tasting notes, and generated character images are stored in your account to power your collection.
• •Usage data: Number of scans used per month, to enforce free tier limits.
• •Payment information: Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

How We Use Your Data

• •To provide and improve the SakeSpirit service
• •To authenticate you and sync your collection across devices
• •To enforce free tier scan limits and manage Premium subscriptions
• •We do not sell your data to third parties
• •We do not use your data for advertising

Third-Party Services

• •Supabase — database and authentication (GDPR compliant)
• •xAI — AI label analysis (Grok Vision) and character image generation (Grok Imagine)
• •Stripe — payment processing (PCI DSS compliant)
• •Vercel — hosting and edge network

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Your spirit collection data is yours. Contact us to request a copy or deletion of your account data.

Age Requirement

SakeSpirit is intended for users of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction (21+ in the USA, 20+ in Japan). By using the app, you confirm you meet this requirement.
